Why do they call it Disability Insurance?

The name is a little scary. Kind of negative, really.

After all, life insurance isn't called death insurance. I don't think it would be very easy to sell with a name like that.

Marketing 101--- Give the product a name that makes the consumer want it.

So, why not call it Income Protection Insurance?

A bit of a mouthful I suppose. But it is more positive, don't you think?

Disability Insurance is so important. In my career I have seen several big claims paid out to sick and injured clients. What a lifeline it is in those rare but intense situations.

Those tax-free checks help people like you and me avoid struggle and debt. Better to live with uninterrupted cash flow and family harmony-- especially when a breadwinner has a health problem. Good planning.
